how would you know if love came to you?
you’d probably wrap it up
put it in your pocket
and take it out when you felt like overanalyzing
how can you date
when all you do is converse?
where is the laughter?
what about the fun of love?
you can’t skip or play or revel
because you’re too busy speaking
too busy sitting
how can you be sad of the loss
when you never had a gain?
living in your head is okay
as long as dream doesn’t spill out your ears
