a way down -
sitting
standing
from the bedside,
am I to feel
unexpected
from how high
the tears
weigh down,-
steal alongside
my cotton
slippers
rolled off somewhere
out of sight -
turn my rearview
outstretched
open wide
bearing her
sunlit strands -
refusing me
at perfection
the hardest ways
to fall
