a conscious future by Julie Adamsdaily I read more & more
into the consciousness
of my own words
I hunger
learning how they, these words can
tear or mold or deflate or solidify
my fibers
if I allow them to
climb me--
like vines of ink & moss
tattooed in script
upon the mind's
rippling walls
I am all too conscious
of the unconscious
to dive and riptide
into the shallow waters
of ignorance
and -isms
so I read &
read &
limit diction
to things I'm sure of--
the moon's fragile light
wishing, wondering,
feeding, watering
tall, seeded moonflower;
into conscious me
