Insane
I think that's the word we used
and so it was.
Of all the possibilities
brought by life and fate,
it turned out to be,
of all people, you
and me.

Insane
was definitely the word we used
but words like incredible
crept in, too,
reservations giving way
to Sky and Ice and Light
and hands upon our skins, you
and me.

Insane
is certainly the word we should use
and so it is -
wrong and doomed,
but yet so right
and we both consciously choose
to lose our minds again, you
and me.

Insane
is what we are, to continue,
knowing where it will end
and wanting it anyway.
Impossible for both of us
because, setting all else aside,
we still know that there will never be
a you and me.
