I cant get the green out of my head
rolling hills
and running streams
of places Ive never been
possibilities
or futile hopes
of a future without you
and the greenest of leaves
falling from the deadest of trees
but no one seems to notice
evergreen shrubbery
turning brown
but the greenest of leaves
staying perfectly green
premature death
unnatural molting
and since you left me
my mind has been full only of green
