Feel Like Shrinking

by Anne Engelen

A bit uneasy
I report my week
the right words
for the right feelings
I desperately seek

Observed
from top to toe
I feel like a curiosity
an interesting subject
no longer I am me

Her eyes, like radars
scanning me totally
frowning
I wonder what she thinks of me

All these sessions with my shrink
will they really change the way I think?

i hate the way they can even tell what we're not telling by the way we're folding our arms or some other non-verbal communication. :)

They will probably change the way she thinks. Great poem with thought provoking concept.

This express an idea I can grasp. I'll bet this is like some shared concept by any who have endured therapy. -bf
