a cold humid reminder
benches frozen in an
azure mist
a park silent in a
torpid stillness
here is where i will
sit and rest
let my brain
vent a few thousand degrees
watching the steam
melt all the frigid
trees and playground
equipment
it seems i have introduced
motion
everything springs awake
shining with a green light
water pools at the bottom
of all this slowing
being absorbed into the
black earth under
the grass.
