Tears Of A Rose

by Charles M Harrison

How could a rose of such beauty
ever come to shed tears so sad.
To think how this could have happened
angers me till my mind goes mad.
Mad with grief and sadness
at such an awful sight.
Of this beautiful and gracious flower
shedding blood red tears in the night.
For a rose such as this one
filled with goodness and grace.
Should now and forevermore
know only happy tears on her face.
Tears that come as the morning dew
to gently kiss her cheeks.
These are the only tears for her
this friend in his prayers seeks.

For my friend Adeo Rose

Hi Charles, It's lovely, a tribute for a friend. Friends are not to be taken for granted, to be cherished, specially best friends. It's hard to lose a friend, I've been there.
