Some say I'm intelligent,
but I'm really not-snippets
of inane trivia to fill the spot
no essays on philosophy,
no equations on spacial spheres,
only confident palaver
reaches their ears.

They laugh and say I'm funny
as I smile and depart-
hard and arduous work
for a heavy heart-
"intelligent and funny"-
no credit can I take,
for I am nothing, but a clever fake.
