Funny that
she should think
we
want this.
Funny that she should see
the image that
we all project.
Funny that all our lies
are believed so well,
by her and
by ourselves.

Denial is beauty.
Lies.
Hunger is godliness.
Lies.

But here is the one
truth that we
all know and
yet deny:

We are all destroying
ourselves
incrementally.
With malice.
And forethought.

And we say that it
is our lifestyle.
Not disorder.

Funny that she believes us.
