Me vs. You

by Beth K Hannah

Salacious eyes and trademarks
Simple dexterity and impulsive looks
I climb through all of your
Ambiguous words and catchphrases
I trust the fact that focusing in you
Will bring a stop to my aches
My hands are bruised from tormenting
My legs are thick and not gorgeous
I try to make myself pretty
Special
And wanted
You seem comfortable and in no
Need of a denazification
You seem almost vindictive
Yet humble
I cast the first stone
And you break it to pieces
I feel the tendrils of lust
I hear my breath tripping
My heart is slowly bleeding
And the sky outside is dim.
