flattenedfieldbodies by Betania TeschI am unraveled,
flattenedfieldbody,
fertile with possibilities.
Open the ends of your fingertips
and excavate my skin,
sew your soft touch
irrigated with waterkisses.
Watch me grow,
roots of your touch
clinging in the depths
of my richdarksoilsoul.
See the sprouts of
youmeus pushing through
and touching the sunlight
with fragile leaflets.
Observe the thickening stalks
begin to twist around my arms
and hands,
flowers blossoming from my fingers.
I trace my fingertips
over your now flattenedfieldbody
and plant the seeds of
our mutal touch on your skin
lingering long enough
to allow the stems to grow together
in a messy tangle of vines
and other tactile expressions of love. 07/12/2002 Posted on 07/12/2002 Copyright © 2025 Betania Tesch
