Beneath the skin of societal assumptions,
stumble with me through clumps of flesh,
That once were formed to fill the creation,
the awe-filled being that grasps for life.

Dig into the rubble that consumes me.
Under the bulging eyes, cracked lips,
draining tasks and unanswered questions.

Somewhere, somewhere underneath there,
reach into my flesh-filled anxiety and take,
take from that being the answers to
the questions God is asking of me.

You say it's there.
the answers to why,
I feel so lost.
