Argue by Beth K HannahLittle intricate sunsets
Fill the horizon with stars
I catch a look from you
And pass it back eleven fold
You aren't a glorified beast
Or a majorly oppressive simpleton
But a person comfortable in clothes
And willing to dance for a drink
I overheard I was eloquent
In my jeans and tennis shoes
I spread the rumor you were arrogant
And full of mythological crimes
When we talk you seem to listen
Not minding if I get smashed
Hoping I reply about my hobbies
And if I enjoyed World War Two
You never said hello or goodbye
You seem impressed by my vocabulary
And lack of social graces
If I remember correctly, you did say "Hey" 07/05/2002 Posted on 07/05/2002 Copyright © 2024 Beth K Hannah
