Maybe its the sunlight
the warm breeze in the morning.
maybe it is the way
you catch me staring
and you stare back.
maybe it is knowing
it would never last past August.
maybe it is just my need
to have an ego stroke
someone to look at me
"that way",
some one to smile at
and know that he appreciates it.
maybe just maybe
I see something in you,
something I cannot define
and maybe I am just making excuses
maybe I want you so much
because I think you are unattainable,
maybe
it could be any of this
but most likely
it is just a summer fling
