The quest

by Manas Moksha

You who is seeking
the great reason
the question
everlasting

what has happened?

now as always
as never before
an epiphany
has taken hold
and splashed you with its
salty foam

the insight
you thought might never come
has bitten your lip
in the cool shade
of a secluded moment

a moment that has defining presence
like the last
and the next to come

It rings
the bells that have yet to toll
or is it the song
of sparrows in flight

They pass overhead
in pursuit
of the night mosquito

The faith in the search
as great as the answer
the net you cast
returns empty

And you lay your
head once more
against your pillow

Is it to let it go
or hold it tight
to desire it freely
or must you fight?

Die of boredom
or of great falls
doubt only shrivels
the fear that creates walls

For you,
the great sage become
the time for truth
each stride will succumb

Forget not the path you have chosen
As far from you
the bliss
is not mistaken

Wander near or
travel far
the journey's written
in each smile and rainy solitude
