Image Of Me

by Charles M Harrison

Looking at him I see
an image of me.
The boy I used to be
at age seven plus three.

Looking at him I see
an image of me.
The man I will someday be
at age sixty plus three.

Looking in the mirror I see
an image of me.
The man he will someday be
at age ten plus thirty.

Looking in the mirror I see
an image of me
The man he used to be
at age sixty minus twenty.

Looking at all three I see
and image of me.
What was, is, and will be,
my history and my legacy.

Dedicated to my father and my son.
