The Darkest Kind Of Light by Corey DroverBathed in putrid irredescence
I now see things clearly
Clues forthcoming from places not seen
by the eyes of the innocent
The light on the wall that pours
from a slowly degrading candle
will illuminate the world with nothing more
than a small flame no bigger
than your very own pupil
All you have to do is look
Unblock your vision and unsheath your sword
Fight back against those who would
tell you what you see is not there
He'll hide behind a robe and a book
and teach you about things
you can't see unless you believe
The light that shines over the casket
says it all for you
It says that this is death
Nothing more and nothing less
Take your faith and hide it away
in an old sock drawer
It has no use to me anymore 06/28/2002 Posted on 06/28/2002 Copyright © 2024 Corey Drover
