Just Like Old Times

by Corey Drover

I look into your eyes and see
pieces of an old reality.
And now I wonder, could it be
you may still be in love with me?

If it's true then let me know.
Please drop your guard and end the show.
If I'm wrong then I will go,
but it's my hope this isn't so.

I loved the taste upon your lips,
I loved the curve that's in your hips,
And from the drink, those gentle sips.
If there's a chance, I have some tips.

Love is a many splendored thing
or so says a man that loves to sing.
A second try, I'd love to bring
to you a chance to wear my ring.

I know the task would be daunting
but it's something I am wanting.
I promise your heart I am not taunting,
for mine's had ghosts that were haunting.

I see a spark come into your eyes.
I must admit this is a surprise.
I'd given up hope, I'd thought of demise,
but with love again we'll touch the skies.
