Anna Birthday Poem 2000

by Charles M Harrison

She walks into the room and my heart starts to flutter.
The words I long to say to her sometimes I just can't utter.
Even after all this time my world she still does light,
I am left breathless by this beauty in my sight.
Every time I look at her, I swear that it is true,
That she has gotten younger by a year or maybe two.
She still holds the key to my heart deep within her own.
She is still the greatest love I have ever known.
Even after all these years with her by my side,
The love I feel for her can not be denied.
I love her more today than each day before.
I will love her from now until forevermore.
