(962) (71495) In Awe

by Omi Salavea

In awe, of the smile i hold in my arms

of quiet, little, undecipherable words

of a vessel capable of feeling and heart

a tiny, fragile heart, that holds my hand now

and holds me whilst the sun goes down...

small and gentle face beheld by

strands of gold wheat,

and fathers eyes...

so happy, beautiful and awesome,

a gift of life, a gift of inspiration.

(Dedicated to the little man that dragged me amongst heaps of grass, dinky carnival rides, ice cream, and cotton candy. Everything, and everyone gives me inspiration to create or write. Maybe one day i'll be in awe again.)
