Stormy (A second interpretation of the poem Salt)

by Omi Salavea

thrashing with the waves at sea

tossing like the branches within the wind

screaming louder than the thunder in my ears

fleeting like the lightening in the sky

overwhelming, as the rain outside persists

and the feeling overwhelms me more
powerful than

the hurricane at my feet, crashing

againts the jagged

thoughts of slate in my brain

alas, love, stronger than a storm at sea.

Stronger than the weak heart and fragile body that endures the power of it.
