What's it like?
To be like them I wonder
To be one of those
"Normal People"
People with less to worry about
Less problems to deal with
And the rest of the list we all know too well
What's it like anyway?
What do they do with all that free time?
Not having to worry about
Whether you feel you can't hold the darkness back
Or trying to keep others from taking "the short easy way"
Not to mention all the times
You have to be the rock
When all you want is to fall to pieces
How do they manage it?
How do they get off so easy?
Why do we get all the work?
The back breaking
Mind bending, gut wrenching
Work
Grinding, Pushing on
Day by day
Looking for something
Anything
To keep our minds busy
Lest they lose themselves again
I wonder what it would be like
In that odd world of wonderland
Where the 'different ones'
Wouldn't have to do the shit we do
The shit that fucks us up so much
That fucks with us too much
That push us so far to the edge
So far sometimes
So far...
That some can't make it back.
