Before It's too Late

by Adrian Calhoun

Take the time along the way,
to stop and smell the lillies.

To touch the delicate rose petals.

To watch the pesky dandelions,
growing as far as the eye can see.

To hear the sunflowers reaching ever higher,
praying for the rain.

To taste the honeysuckle,
sweet upon the vine.

Take time along the way
to do all of these things everyday.
Before it's too late!

For soon each of them,
shall be on or around your grave.
