Nevermind the Potholes

by Adrian Calhoun

Amid the never-ending Road Work Ahead signs.
Somewhere in the journey of life,
along the bumpy, curved, uphill roads,
there is happiness to be found.

It is in fact a struggle,
to make it in life,
and find pure happiness or inner peace.

Hard work on ones self,
personal dedication and conviction.
This is what makes the earned rewards,
sweet.
