I Sometimes Think by David R SpellmanI am imprisoned, cast away,
banished, and isolated
In a world that I've inherited
A confederate in its recreation
Imprisoned, yet unfettered
By imagined thoughts and desires
Dreams that couldn't possibly come true
Nightmares, that possibly could
Cast away, yet somehow included
Secluded in the company of others
An insider looking out for hope
An outsider, looking in for some too
Banished, yet with freedom to wander
Limited only by the expanses of reality
Evolving in mind and place
Abandoned in time and space
Isolated, yet set among billions
Delivered into so many choices
Together in a world of problems
Separated by selfish solutions
At least, I sometimes think
