You Don't Love Me Anymore

by Jersey D Gibson

You locked me out just the other day,
I found the deadbolt changed.
When I call, you just hung up the phone,
you threw my heart into a cage.

Found in my mailbox a picture ripped in half,
and on that side, it was me.
When I come near you, you throw crockery,
I learned to tread carefully.

I have this funny feeling, that I never had before.

Something tells me, you don't love me anymore.

Your words, so harsh, yes, they do sting me,
I really don't want to hear more.
Yes, I think that I'm getting the clue,
when you knocked me to the floor.

Baby, please, could we take back what I said,
please don't take it personally.
I think you heard it wrong, took it the wrong way,
Baby, you know that wouldn't be me.

I have this funny feeling, I never had before.

Something tells me, you don't love me anymore.

You hit me in my face, when you slammed that door.

Something tells me, you don't love me anymore.

Author's Note: This poem is, believe it or not, a joke. This is actually a partial Weird Al song! I changed the lyrics, of course, and I kept the style, but it still turned out to be a decent poem anyway. I was rather proud of the Picture line myself...
