Those who have loved me
With un-fettered love,
I have not so loved

Those whom I have completely loved,
Have not been free to so love,
Although some loved me likewise

I, despite misgivings, yearn
To connect freely, completely
With one who likewise yearns

One who is free to so love

Should such a connection be made,
Will I return to the place discovered
When I loved completely but without freedom?

Or will my soul, connecting with a different soul,
In a diferent circumstance,
Find a place unique?

Or does loving anyone completely find the lovers
In the the same time and space
That all aspire to, knowingly or not?

If my soul and another's
Find each other in a place
Where loving souls may dwell ...

Will I ever again ask such questions?
