innocent child
you don't know how the world works
you sit and play
oblivious to the passing days
you only know of sunshine and light
nothing of clouds and dark
you sleep soundly
dreaming of lollipops and pixies
no nightmares to plague you
you don't feel any hate
only the love we all share with you
your smile brightens our darkest days
sweet child
so innocent
so naive
the world is an ugly place little one
it's much more beautiful
with a spirit like you in it
