A Man's Revelation

by Quinlan L Gibson

I was there.
Left my taste in his mouth.
My flavor,
on his lips.
Revlon Summer Bronze
on the pillowcase,
and his blue glass piece.

He left my price,
on the dresser.
His sin in my temptation
of anything goes.
His wedding ring on the hotel nightstand
with a handwritten
Thank You note.

Quinlan, your poems and fictional work are also breath-stealers....and I have no words to describe them beyond wow

Blunt and descriptive... you take what some would consider a "sin" and lay it on the line with pure facts... What a picture. You can take from it anything you want...

I was blown away by the starkness of the imagery-- deftly creating a picture and provoking a thought, both intriguing.
