being a girl..in a twisted perspective

by Olivia Weinkein

when you're 16 its excusable
that need to belong
to fit in
somewhere
anywhere
a tank of gas, a case of beer
a true belief that the one in the
corner holding the stare
really does care
when you're 16
when
and then
you're allofasudden
older
and less wise
but still trying to capture
the same look
from the same kind of
untrusting eyes

go figure.
