Boots by Jane E PearceWhoosh-klomp
Woosh- klomp-
those boots
marching again-
shiny, stiff,
unforgiving
in their search.
Whoosh-klomp
whoosh-klomp
closer now,
almost beside him,
as he tries to blend
with the fearless faces,
head down,
on his way to Temple
on a cold '40's Saturday
in an ominous Berlin. 04/21/2002 Posted on 04/21/2002 Copyright © 2025 Jane E Pearce
