The Humbug by Michael HamlinOut of the darkness
The Humbug did creep
Around all the corners
Amoungst all the sheep
"What are you, Dear Humbug?"
Ms. Sheepy did ask
"A cow with a feather?
Or a man in a mask?"
The Humbug, he sneered
And stuck out his chin
He rolled his large eyes
And started to grin
"The light calls me darkness
And darkness, the light
Though you say you don't know me
I believe that you might.
I am the king of lies and deciet
And that meddlesom odor
That comes from your feet.
You say you don't know me
You think I am new
But the truth, I reveal
That I come from in you."
The sheep gave a sigh
And just as they should
They looked at the Humbug
Right there where he stood
"Sir Humbug, you felon!
Why can't you just see?
You're a pig from the ocean
You don't come from in me."
The Humbug was beaten
He turned with a spin
And to the sheeps pleasure
He was not seen again
