Jord looked at me
and said to me,
"Hey Mom, don't be a brat!
Let me stay home-
I look like such a fool!"

I looked at him
and said to him,
"You know you can't do that.
Unless you're sick
you have to go to school."

He looked at me
and said to me,
"I'm nervous as a cat-
the kids are gonna
laugh and point and scoff!"

I looked at him
and said to him,
"You should have thought of that
before you went and
shaved your eyebrows off!"
