falling swiftly from my eye
slowly descending down my cheek
i taste it's saltiness on my lips
my tears flow freely
yet no one seems to care
nobody wants to soothe me into
a soundless tranquil sleep
finally, after what seems to be eternity
i fall into a restless slumber
only to be awoken by the cacophony
of this heartless world
