My True North

by Anne Engelen

I love you, want you, need you,
splendor to my ears
Knowing each word spoken
irresistabely sincere
Without effort my tears of joy appear.

Something you said the other day
touched my heart and soul
in an uncommenly way.

"You are my true north"
to me said more than words can say.

With fulgurating love fulfilled
my feelings for you exploded.
All they did was intensify
what already was felt
as a surrealistic high.

I too love that expression. It says so much more than the few words it takes. To me it means you're his anchor, his compass, his reason for finding a way. Beautiful. Congrats for being that and for the poem
