Isn't it funny
How one little word
Can rekindle a long lost friendship
A missing link in a bond
That you never thought could be reborn
Finally has started.

Overjoyed
I suppose one could say that
So happy you could burst
Over what though?
Over a simple conversation
That somehow brought the memories along.

I don't know
Maybe I am just overly emotional
But I haven't been this happy
In just conversing with someone
Like I have with you
Since you came here.

And we finally made that effort
That fateful step
A step toward getting back what was lost.
For that I am forever grateful
And couldn't be more enlightened
Than I am right now.
