What Happens When You Try to Teach Poetry

by Jessica A Steenbock

voices blur into my ears
thoughts seduce me into dreams
lihts walk backwards
a tunnel stands before me
as true images change to fantasy
winds carry my fate
sensous kisses of breathe
caress the line of jaw
my life breeds upon my clouds
fuzzy distances in my head
beautiful misty mountain morning...

once again awake I am in mindquestions asked that have tofu steak answers
that have no matter
beautiful dreams fall like rain into memory
ruined by the monotonous teaching of beauty in correct structure of actual dreaming
so few really dream
so many only processed
it makes me want to cry
