A Saturday Afternoon Rest by Howard F FarewellLate afternoon
The cool winter
South breeze blows
Comforting
Chilling
Easy all the same
Time out
Back after this commercial break
Gaze out at the
Sun-parting clouds
In their light-gray peace
Sliding their way
ever slowly
To the clear majestic night
The curtain rises
For the stars and planets
And their blue-black and white mystery
'Til the time comes
When eyes get heavy
And the body takes leave
