Tis a scary thing
A feeling of insecurity
Not knowing
Whether or not you are
The bearer of life

In some ways
You long for it
But in turn are frightened
And yet you still don't know

The waiting is what kills
Hoping for one thing
Praying for another
Either way
The outcome will bring pain

So is this a fluke
A sign to be more careful
Or is this real
To be the bearer
Of a new life
Shall this soon be found out?
