Stars shine and the moon glows
Much more powerful than
The sunshine or rainbows.
Night time speaks softly to
Show the world the beauty
Of silence darkness can do.

Closing tired eyes during the day
Is not the same as at night.
Night time holds you a different way.
Sunshine puts a spotlight on pain
Letting the whole world see
A single tear as though a drowning rain.

The night feels your agony
And embraces you tight, barely
Reflecting your saddness, no one to see
That misery has taken your heart
To places that burn inside and out,
Sunshine would only tear it apart.

Clouded sunshine still burns
Unlike the moon which sheds
Off the cool touch in all turns.
Colors aren't as harsh this night,
Watchers can enjoy the formed
Beauty, which is a way so right.
