The Waltz of the Dark Unicorn

by Melina Raven Maness Diebold

Stepping out from the shadows
Somber
Quiet
With glossy eyes turning,
moonlight flashing, twinkling,
reflecting off them

Marbled and gray, he's lost
He's not really there

a figment
an illusion

Never existing

He's a myth, he's a fable
But his truth, his purpose, the moral to his story
overwhelms you and I
Transcending all
