Ebony shadows
surround me
I see nothing
but darkness
Walking
aimlessly
Like a small child
no where to go
Stumbling here
stumbling there
A miraculous strand
of silvery light
Cuts through
the choking, thick
Stillness of the night
behold a stairway
Step by step
carefully, cautious
I go
listeing to the corresponding
Creaks of my feet
as each rest on the
Floor
my savoir light
I will never forget
