A pretty white house
with a white picket fence
and a manicured lawn
There is a lady inside
with pale blue eyes
with tears and wrinkles under them
gazing out of the window
staring...
glaring...
at two beautiful children
full of freckles and flashing pigtails
playing in a yard
littered with Barbies and Bigwheels
And here I am
making love to the man who left them.
