daughter's face is stained with tears
from crying all the time
denied by her own creator
her own giver of life
broken heart of daughter's, bleeds always
mother won't fix it

mother's face is lined with shame
from denying her daughter
chose another over her own offspring
tore out daughter's heart
tore it right in half
mother doesn't care or love, no respect from daughter now

daughter stands proudly on her own two feet
she has defeated the pain caused by mother
got over and put it all behind
daughter is not at fault, for any of this
mother was the one who caused it
daughter will love her kids as mother should have loved her
