American Propeganda by Jersey D GibsonWe are king of the mountain,
but which mountain are we king of?
The Chinese don't think so.
The French don't think so.
The Iraqis don't think so.
The North Koreans don't think so.
We think we are the best nation in the world.
Why do we still have poverty?
Why do we still have hate-crimes?
Why do we still have murders?
Why do we still have nuclear weapons?
We think that we are the freeist country.
Tell that to the American-born Japanese in 1942.
Tell that to the Rosenburgs, executed without trial.
Tell that to the Mormons, during their 1850 exodus to Utah.
Tell that to the gays, who just want to get married and have kids.
America: The land of opportunity.
The opportunity to be taken advantage of.
The opportunity to have your identity stolen.
The opportunity to be pushed on with the rest of society.
The opportunity to fail. 03/28/2002 Posted on 03/28/2002 Copyright © 2024 Jersey D Gibson
