Corpus Callosum by Bruce W Niedt
the bundle of nerves
like a tangle of switchboard wires
a rope bridge across
the continental divide
hemispheres apart
a tenuous connection
between what we think
and what we say
what we see
and the name we give it
what we feel
and what we think we feel
what we write
and what we want to write
sever the wires, the rope
and we are little more
than packets of information
uncollated
the two halves exist
as two workers in cubicles
sending memos to each other
that get lost
in the long hallway between them.
