B-O-I-N-G

by Charles E Minshall

B-O-I-N-G! goes the scale
When I get on it,
My clothes are too tight
They just won't fit.

I couldn't tell you
If I have on hose,
It's been a long time
Since I've seen my toes.

My large forefront
Is more than ample,
A six pack of beer
Is but a sample.

I love good beer
And I do love gouda,
Whenever I sit
I look like a Buddha.

With all of this talk
Of my great paunch,
It brings to mind
It's time for lunch.

It's time for burgers
With a chocolate shake,
A side of fries
And a piece of cake.

One good thing about
My paunch of late,
It makes a great shelf
To rest my plate.
