Phoenix Young (part 1)

The ashes stir upon the ground,
a figure underneath moves.
Coming forth from what was a funeral pyre,
stirs that of a baby phoenix.
Orange, red, and yellow feather ripple about,
as the youngling makes its' first cry.
Flapping wings that look so much like fire,
the phoenix begins learning how to fly.
Thus, the 500 year cycle,
beings anew...
