my trust’s been sold
my feelings were blocked
my world’s been shocked

All my plans for the future
included us, me and you
warm feelings and dreams
to come true

Suddenly winter came
extinguishing my heart’s flame
holding up this mirror of ice
Was my love for you based on lies?

It’s hard for me to understand
I was ready to take your hand
to walk the road to the unknown
together, no longer alone

That thought kept me going for a while
talking to you always made me smile
I guess it’s in the past
only memories are there to last
